To travel to Bohol you basically have 2 choices: Airplane or ferry.
In 2019, Bohol opened it’s brand new international airport on Panglao Island. It currently has daily non-stop flights coming primarily from Manila (4-6 flights per day), with also some flights from Davao City, El Nido, Cebu, Iloilo, and Angeles City. The airlines flying these trips are Philippe Airlines and Cebu Pacific Airline.
Currently the only international flights are coming from South Korea, with 4 flights a day from Seoul and 2 flights a day from Busan. These trips are on Jeju Air and Jin Air from Seoul, and Air Busan from Busan South Korea. However some airlines may soon be starting flights from Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia.

The other half of arrivals in Bohol come by sea. Bohol has 3 main piers including the main Pier at Tagbilaran City, the Tubigon Pier and Jagna Pier. There are dozens of ferries that arrive from the island of Cebu every day. The fast ferries take about 2 hours to travel from Cebu, while the slower “Roro” ferry that allows cars on-board take about 4 hours. There are also roll-on/roll-off (Roro) ferries that go from Cebu to Tubigon. If you are going the other direction, you can get a ferry to/from Camiguin and Cagayan de Oro at the Pier in Jagna.

You can buy tickets for the ferry at the pier just leave some extra time because there are sometime lines. Otherwise you can buy tickets online or at travel agencies. The biggest ferries are Ocean Jet, Weesam Express and SuperCat.
So when traveling to Bohol, you can choose to stop over either in Manila, or in Cebu City. From Manila you can then take the one hour flight to Bohol. From Cebu City, you can choose from dozens of ferries each day to Bohol. Or if coming from overseas, you can stop in South Korea either in Seoul or Busan, and take one of many daily direct flights to Bohol.
